Description
Hello 👋🏻,
I'm a ‘middle-aged’ (in years, not outlook), professional and friendly person who is tidy and conscientious by nature. Even the principal role of my job is managing a safe, secure, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment over a premium mixed-use block development where my main responsibility is the residential apartments.
Hoping to stretch budget to my own space. However, as this is obvs London, I fully accept the possibility I have to share communal spaces and fully embrace the benefits that can bring. Hopefully, my years of experience of sharing from every tenant/landlord/mates/strangers P. of. V., means I’m pretty good at it by now from any new housemate’s perspective. In them, I’m hoping for independent, mature-ish, broad-minded individuals who can hold a conversation with a sense of humour, and are not looking for me to become part of a surrogate family unit but are willing to look out for one another should unexpected big-city eventualities require support.
I generally get on well with others, but appreciate that we have our own individual lives and interests, so respect privacy and everyone’s personal space at home. My working pattern is a rolling 4-days on /4-days off so I’m as likely to have weekdays off as weekend days and the shifts are so long I’m usually only at home to sleep the preceding 4 nights. I am out & about a lot between work, exercising, discounted theatre & cinema, socialising at friends’ places, and love to travel when I can afford to, as well as taking advantage of the incredibly diverse range of cultural pursuits this city & surrounding counties have to offer tourists & locals alike.
Open to guardianship and housesitting/caretaking opportunities for prolonged period, references available. As a trusted dog/cat/houseplants/home-sitter for friends & acquaintances, I occasionally stay elsewhere in London for days at a time. It would be particularly pawsome if an opportunity is out there with a discount on market value rent for actively helping out with a doggo (or pack!) at home (but in truth, I’d enjoy hanging with them anytime for free anyway!) i. e. your best furiend & you benefit from an extra walkies provider, food preparer, and caring company if you’re out, and stay in their familiar surrounds and regular routine if you’re away.
I work full-time in Chelsea and healthily my current accommodation allows me to actively commute to work with a 40-minutes walk or 15-mins pedalling on cycles from the shared-bike-hire schemes. Strong preference to keep this lifestyle option if possible, either north or south of the river, but not so essential that I’d forsake this for the perfect place further out as a base on days off where I’m likely to do more activities outdoors.
A separate bathroom, and ample storage space (for a few boxes of random stuff that naturally accumulates over 5 decades of life) would be very welcome bonuses. The other pre-populated preferences above are merely that that & not nonstarters if not ticked off, as I realistically appreciate that I have to compromise somewhere with a limited budget.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, or simply want to suss out if we’d be compatible housemates…
And thanks in advance for your interest if generous enough to read this far 🤗
