Looking for a room in Hackney or Victoria Park are

I’m Catalina, 31, originally from Chile and have been living in the UK for the past 9 years.

I’m looking for a double room in a friendly home. I used to live in the area before my landlord sold the flat, and I’d love to stay around Victoria Park / Hackney as it really feels like my happy place!

I’m friendly, sociable and have a good balance between being active (out doing stuff and meeting people) and enjoying quiet time. I often see friends, but I also value a relaxed evening at home or a dinner party. I’d love to live somewhere where we can go for a drink, or have some wine at home, share the occasional dinner and good chats. If we have things in common, would be great to do activities together occasionally too. You’re always invited to anything I’m up to.

In terms of interests, I’m quite a hobbies person. I play a few instruments, sing in a choir, go to the gym, love hiking, travelling, dancing, reading, and films. I also like slower routines like meditation, journalling, yoga and walks in the park with a coffee. In the summer, I try to go on a day hike out of London every other weekend. Over time I’ve tried some other random hobbies too like archery, climbing, kickboxing, Pilates, aerial silks, Japanese sword fighting, pottery, pretty much anything I can think of!

I’m very clean and organised (cleaning is actually quite therapeutic for me), and I really enjoy creating a cosy, lively home. I love plants, light, and a nicely decorated space. I have a few bits from living alone before (plants, small tables, kitchenware, including a Ninja Creami for summer ice cream!).

I work as an Account Manager at a website development agency, based in Holborn. I’m in the office 2–3 days a week and work from home the rest of the time. I am the personality hire I like to say haha always smiley and chatty. At home I like to have a mix of shared quality time and our own space as well.

My budget is around £1,000-1,200 per month, and I’m looking to move anytime between mid-March and the end of April.
