Young professional + cat looking for sociable home

Hello, I'm Benjamen!

And my cat's name is Micika (mit-see-ca), she's the sweetest lap cat you'll ever meet. And we're moving to London!

I’m a data scientist working for an international charity three days a week and running my own business the other two. I've been living in a north-west town for the past 7 years, mostly for my PhD, and I'm ready for the vibrancy of life in the city.

Budget: Up to £1400pm, but flexible, people and location are more important.

Ideally looking for a house of people I can be friends with, any gender and orientation and background, with good transport links to evening activities and hobbies.

I can move any time, just looking for the right place.

== About me ==

I'm friendly and sociable and love connecting with people. I enjoy swing dancing, running, climbing, stage acting and singing, playing board games and tabletop rpgs, pc gaming, and creative techy things - just built my own media server so I have every movie you could ever wish for.

When I move I'm hoping to pick up a few new hobbies - join an improv class or a cooking group perhaps. I love to be introduced to new hobbies and am always happy to share mine!

I've lived on my own and in house shares so I know what's involved in keeping a home tidy and cleaning up after myself. I enjoy a strong social life, but I'm equally capable of entertaining myself and will take space on my own if I need to recharge. I'm respectful of others' needs, value good communication and emotional maturity, and am happiest in good company.

== What I'm looking for ==

My main goal with moving is to meet new people, make new connections, and create friendships.

I'd love the people I live with to become good friends, people who I can spend time doing fun things with. Sharing meals, movie nights, regular board games evenings (did someone say in-house tournament?), morning runs, group trips, a game jam, and a real sense of community.

As for the house and location; I love bright natural light, a good shower, and pleasant aesthetics, with good travel links to evening activities and hobbies, but at the end of the day the deciding factor will be the people. I have a few pieces of furniture (ie desk) that I want to hold onto, so a larger room would be ideal.

I have a full WFH set up, but I typically like to make use of local co-working spaces. My girlfriend is currently living in Sweden so I will likely take the odd weekend away or she may visit.
