Hello!

I am looking for a room in Gosforth or Jesmond to call home, ideally until early 2028 (when I'll be returning to Scotland ahead of getting a mortgage there).

——— ABOUT ME ———
To give you a brief picture of me, I am a public sector financial auditor and previously researched and taught at university. I am a very conscientious and considerate person, and I enjoy getting to know new people and perhaps making amazing friends. My recent HMO landlord of five years described me as "an exemplary tenant", and he already said that he'd be happy to provide a reference to my future landlord. I would also be happy to share my latest credit reports from the credit referencing agencies, where my credit scores are 'Excellent' (Equifax), 'Excellent' (Experian), and 'Good' (TransUnion).

——— ROOM ———
The furnished room I'm looking for would need to have a reasonably-sized desk, so I can work from home, as well as generous drawer / wardrobe storage capacity – though I'd also be happy to purchase additional chests of drawers and/or a desk, so long as there's enough floorspace in the room. Due to my duty of confidentiality as an auditor, I need to be able to prevent access to my desk, so I'll need a room key. (The size of the room is secondary.)

——— CYCLE STORAGE ———
I would also need cycle storage for my e-bike, which should be at street level and safe from the elements, either in a locked garage or indoors.

–––––– HOUSE / FLAT ––––––
The wider house or flat would need to have a washing machine (and preferably a tumble dryer too). The property should also be entirely free from mould, except perhaps for tiny trace amounts in the kitchen or bathroom(s), and there should be no furry friends (even though I do love them </3).

My maximum budget for rent, council tax, and all utilities / bills is £652 per month, or £150 per week.

–––––– CONTRACT ––––––
I would be happy to accept a Room-Only Assured Shorthold Tenancy (with shared use of communal facilities). My aforementioned professional duty to preclude access to my desk means that joint tenancies and licence agreements are not an option.

–––––– MOVING DATE ––––––
I would ideally hope to move on 8 February 2026, though any day in the preceding fortnight from 24 January would be manageable.
