Hello!

I'm Mel (32), a born and bred East-Londonder, looking for a peaceful home with my Midlander partner, Tom (33) and our sweet natured cuddly cat Basil (6).

I work remotely in healthcare software and Tom is a firefighter based in Coventry. We are looking for a suitable space somewhere green and close to nature where we can unwind, but with decent enough wifi for me to work from home!

We are interested in a work/accommodation exchange. Ideally would love private living quarters in an annex or cottage, offering as much work as required in exchange for our stay which we can negotiate. We are both handy and able to help with DIY jobs, gardening, looking after the land, pet and house sitting, dog walking, chicken feeding, nannying - you name it!

I am an experienced nanny, childminder and pet/house sitter and we have both worked with vulnerable people. We both have first aid qualifications and have DBS checks and references.

Outside our day jobs we are passionate about the outdoors, walking and hiking. We are considerate of the environment, in and around our home.

We are open to different areas within about a 45-min drive to Coventry, and also open to different accommodation types. Ideally we would love to be in the countryside - I have lived in an annex-style property on the grounds of a previous landlord's home and found this to be a great setup.

We are looking for a casual rolling contract with the prospect of staying for at least 6 months, if not much longer if we are all happy.

We are both really friendly and sociable people, we love a good laugh and conversation, looking after plants, trying to grow veg, and enjoy all things arty, music-related and occasional DIY! We are both fond of animals in all sizes too. Non-smokers and non-substance users and would want to share a space with the same.

Budget dependent on location/property - We would love to find somewhere with a community feel but also very respectful of boundaries and private time.
