Looking for friendly houseshare

Hi! I’m looking for a room in an existing flatshare in either Brighton or London, with plans to move in this October. My budget is around £1000 a month including bills, and I’d ideally like an unfurnished room as I already have my own furniture.

I really value a balance between socialising and personal space. I’d love to live somewhere friendly where we can hang out now and then, watch a film, grab a pint, or just chat but also respect each other’s downtime. I’m not looking to just coexist; having a bit of community at home is important to me.

I work from the office twice a week and from home the rest of the time, so I’m hoping for a room with space for a desk (I prefer to keep communal areas free for shared use, not WFH).

I’m tidy, respectful, and looking to live with like-minded people. I’m queer and have a long-distance partner who visits for about a week every couple of months. I prefer a peaceful home in the evenings, but I’m always up for the occasional night out.
