Seeking a room in and around Gogar, Edinburgh

I am looking for somewhere to live around the west of Edinburgh or Livingston. I will be working in the area for about 6 months.
I am looking for reasonable and serviceable accommodation that will allow me to prioritise work, with which I expect to be very busy.
I am considerate and undemanding to live with and expect to be able to get along reasonably well with anyone who is likewise inclined. There is a little bit of flexibility in my budget.
