Description
Hello! My name is Daisey -
I am currently based in Putney and looking for a house or flatshare with people around my age. Current property is not renewing tenancy, so looking for November move in. Late October possible.
Headlines for speed readers:
Freelance stage manager mostly working in opera
Academically minded eco conscious LGBTQ+ ally
Lots of pot plants plus kitchen herbs
Nerdy foodie Cinderella type, cooks, cleans, sews, reads
Happy on my own, but keen for a friendly hanging out type house
Some furniture moving with me
Max 900£ all included if there is space available for me to retrieve things from storage.
Move in by December 4th latest
N. B. I have a rubbish track record sharing with single straight guys so would be more open to a mixed/queer/female household
A bit more about me:
- I love to cook, bake and read (everything from fantasy romance to collections of academic essays), enjoy galleries and museums, learning languages, sewing and travelling abroad. Comes with a sourdough starter, Netflix account and Art Fund card.
- LGBTQ+ ally, anti-racist, pro-recycling and zero waste. Managed to convert an oil company to glass milk bottles...
- lapsed Classicist with a linguistics MA (not a brag, just think it helps convey my vibes!)
- Very good at cleaning up after myself but have a really high tolerance of mess and chaos so I'm not a tyrant about cleaning rotas or anything like that! Excellent housekeeper in terms of making sure communal supplies are topped up
- I have some pot plants and kitchen herbs, saved my grandma's garden from itself during lockdown and rescued her cacti from the sale of her house
- Happy to go unfurnished! I have a beloved small desk which also means I'm not in anyone else's space when doing my freelancing.
- related: I have a lot of kitchen stuff from my grandma's house. I cook a Lot and prefer to use (and also therefore wreck) my own pans and ovenware, so will fit in a lot better somewhere with a proper kitchen
- I work in theatre and opera as a stage manager - a lot of the same interests as actors and singers and the same/longer hours, but more organised and more reliable. I often travel home from work quite late, so am prioritising places with good connections.
I've had a pretty dramatic couple of years (not just at work!) so definitely looking for a home. I would literally rather live with people who occasionally "borrow" my milk than rather than somewhere where everyone is just in their own room all the time - I lived alone for 2 yrs in lockdown so been there, done that! I am totally capable of amusing myself and giving people space, but hanging out, chatting, the odd party/dinner/pub trip would be welcome!
If you think I'd be a good fit for your room/house, or you'd like to know anything else about me, please please drop me a message!
