Description
*please read the whole ad before contacting me, thank you. Please Do Not contact me if you're an agency. NO HMOs- live in landlords only
Hi! I’m a 43 year old professional female (working in the charity sector) looking to live with a live in landlady/landlord who is looking for a long term lodger. I work 4 days a week (9-5) from home as an energy adviser/caseworker at a fuel poverty charity. I’m independent, quiet, friendly, affable, considerate, thoughtful, clean and tidy, and will treat your home with care and look after it.
What I’m looking for:
I only want to live with one other person only (no families, couples, children staying over sometimes etc). I'm looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful- a safe, quiet space to recharge. It makes sense that I live with someone who is a naturally quiet person and also someone who is friendly but likes their own space and privacy. Somewhere where we are respectful, thoughtful, and considerate towards each other- a house with a mature outlook where we live in good harmony with each other.
An extra large/king room is a must as I work from home in my room -I'm happy to forgo access to a living room for an extra large room and affordable rent which is what I do at the moment.
Rent: will pay up to £900 per calendar month including all bills for a double room.
I've been living very happily with my current live in landlady for 2.5 years in Norbury/Streatham and it's worked really well for us, however as she will now be taking over the care of her elderly mother she is in need of her room again hence why I'm looking for a new home. Ideally I would like to stay in this area or around it- so South West London is my ideal location. I will however consider the other areas I've listed. If your area is literally next to an area I've listed please do contact me too. Please don't contact me if it's in a completely different part of London to those I've listed.
My interests/rhythm:
I’m interested in lots of different things- for example travel, nature, hiking, wildlife, cats/dogs, film, tv series, food, art, craft, interiors, antiques, museums, culture, yoga, walking. Weekday evenings I tend to spend at home relaxing in my room reading.
NB I understand many landlords/homeowners are nervous or not keen on lodgers working from home for many reasons. What I would say is if this is you but everything else about me sounds like the kind of person you would like to live with in your home, please know I am a very quiet, self contained and thoughtful person who works only from their bedroom so no shared spaces would be taken over and no heating would be used during the day (I have had confirmation from my current landlady that since I changed to a work from home job our energy bills haven't risen and she would be happy to confirm this- we manage the heating in the winter months by putting it on in the morning for a bit and then in the evening for a bit and keeping it off during the day).
NB I've put 1st April as moving date but after that is absolutely fine too- I don't have a specific date in mind apart from it being within the next 2 months from now (7th March) as it's more about finding the right place for me.
I’m able to provide references/character references from my current landlady and my employer, and anything else that might be helpful.
Thank you for reading! :)
