I love my social life as well as having my personal space from time to time. I find pleasant to come across flatmates around the flat doing their own things as well as being able to make a sensible use of common areas so we all feel integrated, respected as well as to do what we feel in our house. I am not fan of wild parties so not likely to join but not against those who like it.
