Description
Hello, I'm looking for a double room from the end of August/start of September!
I'm 28 and I've been living in Oxford for coming up 6 years now after moving here for a job when I finished uni. Im sad to leave but have decided to give a PhD a go, so am heading back north.
I've lived with my current housemayes for 3 and 5 years and have become good friends in that time, so am used to a house that feels like home. I'm sad to leave them and am hoping I can find an equally comfy arrangement for the next year!
I currently work as an engineer and will be starting a PhD in medical physics near Cameron toll, so somewhere around marchmont/bruntsfield would be ideal for me. I can be flexible on this, but ideally would like to be close to the city centre and have a relatively easy commute to the kings buildings in Cameron toll. I have a budget of up to £700 before bills.
While I'll technically be studying I've been working long enough that I don't mind paying council tax if it's needed, and am really keen to live somewhere homely with people I get on with. Shared cups of tea and the occasional pub trip sound ideal. (I've also been in house shares since 18 so used to sharing space with others, and comfortable keeping the place clean and tidy!)
Outside of work like pottery/drawing and claim to enjoy swimming (though I haven't been since last year...). I also love to cook, sew, and generally roam around outside when the weather's nice
If anyone has a friendly/cosy flat that sounds like a good fit it would be great to hear from you ☺️
