I just moved here and I am looking for a long-term accommodation in a friendly and sociable environment. I work at the university as a researcher and would ideally like to find somewhere half-way between uni and the city centre. However the meadows and West Bridgford look nice and wouldn't mind to get a bit further away from the city for the right place (and the right people).
