Professional Male seeks a single or double room

Hi there,

I'm looking to team up with like-minded people to find a place together.

I'm originally from Istanbul and have been living in London for 7.5 years. I work as a Software Engineer (4 years now) and am also finishing my MA in Politics and International Relations in Istanbul alongside my job, so a bit of a mixed background between tech and social sciences.

I've been in my current flat since the end of 2020 (almost 6 years), sharing with housemates from a whole range of countries and cultures, and I've always got on well with everyone. I'm moving on now simply because my landlord's son is moving into the flat.

I am very clean, tidy, and considerate. I keep shared spaces presentable, never leave dishes lying around, and clean up straight after cooking. I'm not strict or obsessive about it, but a genuinely clean kitchen matters to me, so I'd be looking for housemates who feel the same.

I'm easygoing and sociable when it's the right moment for it, but I'm just as happy doing my own thing, reading, writing, working on my thesis, going to the gym (4–5 times a week), or getting into film, photography, and music. I think that balance has made me a pretty easy person to live with over the years.

Since I work from home, I need a room with enough space for a desk. I don't have video calls, so I'm never a source of noise myself, however, I am not bothered with noise.

Budget/area-wise, I'm flexible and happy to compare notes to find something that works for everyone. Also, fair warning, I come with 6–7 house plants and a couple of floor lamps, but I'm happy to keep those confined to my own room if needed!
