Postgraduate researcher looking for a room

Hi,

My name is Antonio Pacheco. I am a 34 year old Postgraduate Researcher from Portugal. I currently looking for a room in a flat, shared or otherwise. I have recently received an employment offer from the University of St Andrews, and as such, I will be relocating to Scotland soon. My job starts from August but I expect to move in July in order to settle in. I am looking for accommodation in St Andrews and surrounding areas or Dundee. Please note that due to my circumstances, I most likely will not be able to visit the room in person, but if you are open to it, I don't mind a virtual viewing.

My job will last for at least 1 year, so I am looking for accommodation for that period. Depending on how things work out, I can potentially stay for longer.

A little bit about me:

I am researcher in the area of genetics and genomics, having recently completed a PhD in that field. I have a particular passion for Biological sciences and a deep curiosity about Astronomy and Cosmology. Other interests of mine include history, particularly history about WWII.

I am quiet and shy person but I am sociable and I like making new friends. I enjoy time with friends as much as I enjoy time alone. I am very respectful of everyone else's space and boundaries. I am very friendly and cordial.

Some of my hobbies include watching TV shows, mainly dramas. I do like true crime documentaries as well. I love watching a good movie and I also like the occasional videogame session. My pastimes also include hiking, reading (specially history books), listening to music/podcasts and solving Rubik's cube-like puzzles. I love cooking and enjoy baking from time to time.

I am a very tidy person, I clean up after myself and I try not to bother others as much as possible. I believe I would be an excellent flatmate.
