Description
Hey all
I am looking for a non party house, yet somewhere where the housemates often have a natter & a glass of wine. More of the 'this is a home' houseshare, less of the 'how dare you steal my toilet paper, bring your OWN into the loo!' type vibe.
I work for a marketing company in Waterloo, that, and nannying, is what mostly brings in the £, but I also do jobbing telly acting once or twice a year. I have been overnight in Holby General more times than I have a real NHS Hospital at 2 stays to 1. I've been in all the tea time trash TV that no self respectable millennial ever watches. (Though I have to warn you, as High brow as I am - Love Island is my guilty pleasure. Don't judge ;)...
I'm in my 30's and a bit of a hippy if im honest - but not the in your face judgy type, Im way too much of a down to earth Northerner for that. I mean in the I meditate & have 'What Would Love Do Now' tattoo'd on my wrist. (yeah, it make most people vomit I know).
So comedy is everything to me! I sold a comedy drama to ITV in my twenties, but now I have moved into sketch. Most of my time goes into my sketch comedy collective fb. com/meloncomedy . We do filmed sketches about melancholic things - ghosting, the housing crisis, pollution, mental health etc This month the BBC is taking a look at our pilot so we're crossing our fingers & toes & all body parts...
My other project is 'Things We Don't Say', which I will be focusing on when I'm more settled in a home. These are simple 10 min docus which film people saying things they have held in for a long time. It focuses on the notion that lack of authenticity & honesty in dialogue is a major cause of mental health,
So yes, those are my 2 babies...
My work (im basically out all day & not a shift/weirdy hours worked):
3 x AM - Nannying job (PERM CONTRACT CAN BE PROVIDED)
AFTERNOON - Marketing Company, (PERM CONTRACTED DITTO)
AFTERNOON FRI's - script meetings with comedy co-writer
I'm definitely looking for a long term rent. I would rather run the London marathon than have to move again. If chosen I will be there until you or the landlord boots me out. Oh. Or until my fictional future ex-husband asks me to move in with him of course... ;)
Despite being into acting & comedy etc, Im not of the loud in your face type (I hate other actors!) Im pretty chilled to live with & am looking for the same in my flatmates...
I am looking to move to somewhere from the 1st August, but will wait for the right place & just annoy my poor Father for longer who is housing me temporarily. Im away in the US for 2 wks early sep, Sep 15th also a good move date
I have had an absolute nightmare with house hunting this time - including 1 beautiful palace that has fallen through, and Im hoping it's because the universe will have me end up somewhere even more incredible..
Emmy x
