Friendly creative seeking peaceful flatshare

Hi! I’m Louisa, a friendly, easy-going 33 year-old creative professional looking for a spacious double room, or folk to buddy up with who are also seeking a quiet, relaxed and cosy place to call home long-term.

My maximum budget including all bills is approx. £650. I'm flexible on moving date but looking to move ideally in early 2025 (January onwards).

Currently I’m self-employed, working as a research & editorial assistant for a university lecturer/filmmaker/art historian. I work a pretty flexible (daytime) schedule, mostly in person but I also do some work from home. Around this I’m an artist doing a whole manner things with sound and music - I have a masters in fine art from Edinburgh College of Art and my general background is in the arts.

My interests and hobbies include all things arts and culture, music, sound art, composition, film, books and writing, museums and galleries, food, cooking, walking, exploring and being out in nature.

I'm very calm, easygoing, kind and friendly as well as clean and very respectful when it comes to a shared living situation - and I’d hope for the same from a flatmate.

I’m quite introverted and value my own private space quite a lot of the time, but equally I’m gently social and very up for having chats, sharing meals and hanging out together sometimes. I’m hoping to find like-minded folk to live with who could be genuine pals, though I’m also comfortable with a situation where people live more independently from each other.

I’m a cat lover, so very happy to have feline company and/or obsessive cat banter!

I currently live in the lovely Morningside area and would love to stay nearby in south side of Edinburgh, but I’m open to most areas within easy distance to the city centre (and hopefully close to nice green space).

I'm looking to live with 1 or 2 other people but would consider slightly bigger flatshares for the right place and vibe.
