PhD student looking for a room for min. 3 months

Hello!

I?m doing a PhD on social behaviour in macaques at the University of Lincoln and, as the coronavirus has thrown a spanner in my fieldwork plans (I was supposed to be going to Indonesia in April), I?m looking for a new place to live.

I?m 28, from Wales, happy to live with people who predominately speak English or French as a household. I love animals, travel, and learning new languages. I like to explore and be out in nature and I dabble in a bit of wildlife photography. I?m trying to get back into doing yoga and karate regularly, but often end up in the pub or having a night in with friends instead.

My ideal housemates would be up for hanging out in the evenings and weekends sometimes, but are cool when others need their space or have to get some work done. As an animal lover, I?m happy to live with people?s pets and help out with any caring/walking duties if needed.

As a housemate, I?m very clean and respectful of the communal areas, and always happy to make the rounds with a cup of tea for everyone! I love to cook and I?m always up for making meals together or for cooking house meals on a rota if others are into it. I?m veggie and trying to be better about eating ethically and living sustainably, and would love to live with people with similar world views, or who can help me on my way, but I?m not fussy or preachy?each to their own!

As I do hope to be able to go out to Indonesia once the COVID situation stabilises, somewhere with a rolling contract or one that allows subletting would be helpful, but I?ll certainly be around for the next 2 months. That said, I will be back, so if we like living together, I could be someone who moves back in or just a friend around Lincoln for the next 3 years.

A furnished or mostly furnished place would be preferred and I?m looking for somewhere with safe bike storage.
