Looking for a Room!

Update: I may have a flat sorted, but it’s still in progress, so I’m still open to buddying up, joining an existing flatshare, or arranging a sublet at the flat I may have landed. The place I’m currently looking at is in Cathcart, a newly renovated tenement with a great new bathroom and kitchen, shared living room, and a small room that would be around £300 pcm to offset bills.

I’m looking for someone to share a place with on equal footing, whether that’s finding somewhere together or joining an established household where the vibe is respectful and balanced.

I come with a four-year-old dog, Appa, a Collie/Lab cross who is gentle, cuddly, quiet, and a bit of a soft lad. He’s very clean, doesn’t bark much, and mostly sleeps when indoors. His main passion is ball-fetching, not causing chaos. I take full responsibility for him — walks, cleaning, hoovering, furniture throws, showers (he literally hops in himself). He’s well-trained and very smart; if his blanket is on the sofa, that’s where he stays. He also spends time with my parents, so he wouldn’t be in the flat full-time. Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere with a garden or close to a good park, for obvious reasons. If you genuinely like dogs rather than just tolerate them, we’ll get on well.

As for me, I’m pretty chill and considerate. I used to be a chef and bartender, so I know how to keep a place clean without being obsessive about it, and I don’t clutter. I work in logistics management for care and social housing, with late shifts four days a week (3–11pm). I’m gay and sometimes have friends over for dinner, but I’m always respectful of shared space and boundaries. I studied Politics, Philosophy, and History in London, and I’m sociable and chatty while also enjoying quiet time. I’m sober, but I’m very comfortable around people who drink — I’ll just have a tea and hang out. I'm over in Edinburgh or up to the Isle of Barra to see family fairly often too, also point for any Gealic speakers or learner :)
