Quiet nonsmoker, 25, room/flat in Central Scotland

Heya, I'm Alex. :) I'm moving back to Scotland to be close to my best friend, who was recently diagnosed with a serious illness, so I'm hoping to find a place quickly. I'm looking for a room, studio or 1-bed in any of the indicated areas. The goal is to find a mid-/long-term flat, but happy with shorter lets while I find my feet on Scottish soil again. Happy to do a deposit via a protected scheme and provide references.

I'm a tidy introvert who respects noise levels. I love writing, reading and tabletop games among other things. I'm allergic to cats and a non-smoker, and no smoking inside the flat is a must for me. Non-party flats and female flatmates only please.

I respect people's space and privacy and ask for the same in return, though I'm often up for a kind chat when our paths cross. I strongly prefer kind, direct and straightforward communication. I speak fluent English and German, some Spanish, and have a bit of Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Norwegian knowledge if that helps.

I'm looking for somewhere clean, well-maintained and relatively quiet. Since I'm abroad, I currently can't view in-person, but can arrange for someone to view on my behalf and am happy to do a video call/walkthrough.
