Quiet nonsmoker, 25, room/flat in Central Scotland

Heya. I'm Alex, a German writer and actor currently living abroad. I want to move back to Scotland, because my best friend just got diagnosed with a serious health condition and I'd like to be near her. My move-in date is flexible, ideally June, but later also works. I'm looking for a room, studio or 1-bed in Greater Glasgow, or anywhere in Central Scotland with decent public transport links to Glasgow.

I'm an introvert who respects noise levels, and I can spend a lot of time in my room - reading, writing, gaming, playing music (not loudly). I'm a non-smoker, and no smoking inside the flat is a must for me. I'm also queer - therefore a shared would need to be queer-friendly - and allergic to cats. I prefer non-party flats. Female flatmates only.

I generally keep to myself, though I'm often up for a kind chat when our paths cross, and I respect people's space and privacy. I strongly prefer direct, straightforward communication - no passive aggression. I speak fluent English and German, some Spanish, and have a bit of Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Norwegian knowledge if that helps. (Yes, languages have a special place in my life lol.)

I'm looking for somewhere clean, well-maintained and quiet. The goal is to find a mid-/long-term flat, but happy with shorter lets (1 month min.) while I find my feet on Scottish soil again.

Since I'm abroad, I currently can't view in-person, but can arrange for someone to view on my behalf, and happy to do a video call and walkthrough.
