Short let wanted from February

Hello all

I'm looking for a short let in Bristol, to test the waters/job market/agencies, after a change in personal circumstances sees me back in South Wales in a council house - not one of my life goals, but I've managed to keep my sanity and sense of humour, so that's something! I'm hoping to do a social housing swap to Bristol or Southampton, but almost no one wants to swap with this part of Newport... I have a private rental lined up in Southampton (with a fabulous flexible landlady), but would like to stop and check out Bristol for a month or so on my way there.

I'm currently a voluntary worker in a local charity shop here, and I would look to do the same in Bristol while chasing agencies and paid work, and making longer-term plans. I'd be looking for a month or two initially, but I'm open to longer term if that works out for both of us.

I'm looking for a room with a live-in landlord - I'm too old for flatshares/HMO's, and I want somewhere that's home, not just a place to crash. If you have a quiet room at the back of the house, bedsitting room, granny annex or similar, that would be ideal, as I'm a light sleeper.

I'm quiet and responsible, fully house/toilet-trained, and can provide rent in advance and a reference. I have ADHD, but it doesn't get in the way. I do try to stay busy and productive, and I'm definitely not a couch potato, happy doing my own thing, but also happy to chat over a cuppa sometimes.
