Clean & peaceful room for retiree & rescue cat

I am a retired professional (former FE lecturer) who lives in France but can't abide the winters here and I plan to try and sell my cottage here next summer. I am British and I lived in the UK until 2019 returning briefly in 2020 and then moving here permanently at the end of 2020. Ideally, I'd like to move back to the UK before the winter sets in in 2025. I've rented a spare room before during the first year of the pandemic, happily doing the housework and cooking for my host - I'm a vegetarian. I'd be happy to do that again within reason. I need somewhere warm, near public transport, and with someone who'd be happy to also accommodate my seriously affectionate and very clean female rescue cat. I like to make things so will need space to do this (mostly crochet and sewing). I like to visit art galleries, cultural events, museums, independent shops, charity shops and coffee shops. WiFi is essential. TV not at all. Preferred area is East Anglia or Somerset where I have family but anywhere in England or Wales is fine. Please: no HMO's. Thank you for reading.
