Hi, I’m Mat. 34 y/o well travelled, respectful, and clean individual moving to London in September to start my initial teacher training with UCL.

Looking for a calm, kind, and warm living environment with a balance of personal space and friendly interaction to have a positive experience in the city.

During my training, I will be on placement 2-3 days a week, and at the university 1-2. Whilst sociable and outgoing, my teaching area is with SEND. Due to the nature of the work, I’m really looking for a living situation where it is easy to decompress, unwind and enjoy the small things.

I also run a small social enterprise focused on university student wellbeing, for which I sometimes need to record guided audio sessions and facilitate online meetings. This means a lively household, although enjoyable, might not suit completely.

About me.. I love to travel a lot, write songs when I have the time, read, meditate, enjoy good food, visit galleries, exercise, watch live music & hang out in coffee shops. I usually keep busy, and will always explore somewhere new when I have the chance. There may also be times when I am away on retreat, I try to take 2-3 periods per year. All in all, I’m a low maintenance housemate with stories to share and very clean, organised and tidy.

Room/property requirements… I’m flexible on location, although good schools are a plus as my university will place me locally. Looking to move early Sept 26 and stay until beginning of August 27. Own bathroom is preferable and also close to transport links. My listed budget is a rough placeholder, open to +/- depending on the space and fit. In terms of housemates, I have no specific requirements, only to share with kind, honest, and respectful human beings.
