Young professional new to the area :)

Hi! I’m looking for a single or double room from this August for at least 6 months but ideally a year. I'll be new to Edinburgh so I'd like to live with someone/some people who are friendly and might be up for hanging out from time to time, but I'm happy to do my own thing too. I don't drive so I won't need a parking space, and would like to live in a fairly central location to make travelling a bit easier.

I'm half-Norwegian and half-English (from Essex originally, but have lived in Newcastle for the last few years), and will be working in the environmental charity sector (mostly working in the office, so not at home during the day). I'm pretty well-organised and have a good standard of cleanliness, and when I'm at home I enjoy cooking, watching films, listening to music, reading etc. I'm all about being respectful of flatmates and everyone's space, and I believe in open communication and maintaining a chilled atmosphere. In my spare time, I like to go to exercise classes (yoga, dance, etc), go for coffee or drinks at a bar/pub, go to the cinema/art gallery/museums, and go on hikes or bike rides. I love animals so it's not a problem if you have any, and I'd also appreciate it if there was some space inside or outside that I could store my bicycle as I love cycling!
