Looking For Room Asap, On Dss But Read.

Hi, I am looking for a room with a 4 month contract. Looking for anywhere in the Midlands or North at the moment.

I'm normally I'm a student at University of Sheffield, but I suspended my studies in Feb to go abroad... then a global pandemic hits and I had to come back. I'm technically still a student there but don't get the student loan until September now.

I'm now on Universal Credit and have been approved and received my first payment. When I move, I will contact DWP and they will give me the local housing allowance which is normally about £65 a week. So I'm looking for rooms that are around £85 a week as I can make up the rest. I see no issues with being able to pay but I understand lots of landlords don't want to deal with DSS.

Because of that, I would ask to pay weekly for the first month. After that, monthly is fine.

I'd prefer student housing of some kind, but I'm aware a lot of student housing don't want people on DSS. I'm not usually but, you know - strange times.
