Looking for a quiet house

I'm starting a new teaching job in the NG5 area and would like to find a place within a 30-40 minute walk of my work. I'm a respectful, easy going, reliable tenant. I'd prefer to live with someone/couple closer to my own age but I'm open on that. My main preference is for a peaceful home environment since my work can be a bit intense at times. I like my own space-and will respect yours-but I also enjoy hanging out sometimes as well, maybe over a meal or a movie.
I can provide character references, proof of income etc.
