Irish 28yo seeking room in Bristol

Hello :)

I'm moving to the UK in February for a new job as a statistician with the NHS in Taunton. I'm looking for a room in Bristol, as I'll only be travelling to Taunton a couple days a week (and then working in the city centre of Bristol for the other days).

A bit about me:

I’m a big reader, I'm always at the library or hunting through second-hand bookshops. I also watch a lot of films, go running, and play guitar and bass. I tend to bring plants and artwork wherever there is wall space! Markets are another favourite, I really like finding locally made candles or soaps for myself and as gifts. I'm vegetarian, don't drink, and love animals. I have two dogs back in Ireland who I'll miss a lot (sadly can't bring them with me, but I'd happily live with pets and provide plenty of attention!).

I've lived in shared houses in Glasgow, Copenhagen and Singapore, so I'm pretty adaptable and used to different house dynamics. I'm clean, organised, and mindful of noise and shared areas. I care about the environment and animal rights, so it'd be great to live with people who share some of that mindset. I really enjoy shared meals and chats in the kitchen (especially cooking food for others), but I also value quiet time, so a mix of both works well for me.

I'm looking for a furnished room from early February onwards, though I'd be open to an unfurnished place if it's the right fit and we can make it homely together. Ideally a medium-term let (around 6–15 months), with flexibility if it works well. I'll be working in the office at least three days a week, more if I'm closer to Taunton.
