Professional looking for room

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a room for around 3-6 months, moving in early or mid-August. I am open to staying slightly longer but can’t commit to a year tenancy as I’m moving into my own home soon. Rolling tenancy would be ideal but I’m flexible on this.

I work anywhere from 30-50+ hours a week depending, so am out of the house a fair bit, but quite a homebody outside of work as I am neurodivergent and need a lot of time to recharge.

I am pretty easygoing in terms of who I live with, but I am looking for: an LGBTQ+ friendly household, no xenophobes/tories/TERFs etc; looking for similarly minded chilled and accepting people only. Also not wanting to live in a place that has constant house parties (not against parties at all! just not allll the time).

Would prefer to share with professionals just because of council tax stuff, but open to whatever.

Stuff you should probably know about me:

-my room can occasionally get quite messy when I’m overly stressed, but I will keep my mess to myself and keep communal areas nice and tidy and would want others to do the same

-I have a partner and need somewhere that will be okay with him staying over twice a week or so

-I smoke (the devils lettuce) regularly and am looking for a place with a balcony or similar, balcony attached to the room would be perfect but happy with shared balcony if other housemates are okay with this)

-currently teaching myself guitar (badly but quietly) and also sing occasionally, would be cool to find other hopeful musicians but if not at least a house that isn’t wanting silence constantly as I listen to music for the majority of my free time (happy to use headphones if this bothers you)

-I have a few sets of shelves and would need a room big enough to accommodate them, or some space in the living room/hallway etc to put them

I am not currently in Manchester as I temporarily moved out of the area a little while ago and won’t be back until August so won’t be able to do face-to-face meeting or viewings. Happy to speak over FaceTime or WhatsApp if you’d like to see how we get on before moving in 🩷
