Looking for room in London Zone 1/2

Hey! I’m Hilmi. Originally from Malaysia, I’ve been living in the UK for 13 years now (I have permanent residence). I’m currently looking for a new place to move into starting 1st September.

I’m aiming for Zone 1 or 2 — areas like Clapham, Camden, Hammersmith, Westminster, or Elephant & Castle would be great, but I’m open to other well-connected locations too. Commute-wise, being near the Metropolitan, Bakerloo, Piccadilly, or Jubilee lines is a big plus.

Work-wise, I’m an electronics engineer in West London working on satellites terminal. I work in the office during the week, so you’ll usually have the flat to yourself during the day. On weeknights, I’m usually at the gym after work, cooking dinner, or relaxing in front of a good TV show or a play (big fan of the theatre). On weekends, I like exploring new food spots, grabbing drinks, or heading out for quick day trips.

I’m looking for a room to rent or to buddy up with someone for a 2-bed place. My target budget is around £1,200 including bills, but I’m happy to pay a bit more if it gives me extra space (an en-suite would also be a nice bonus!).

Ideally, I’m looking for a flatmate who wants a proper home rather than just a crash pad — someone who keeps things clean and tidy (especially shared areas like the kitchen), enjoys a chat or catching a movie, but also respects personal space. Non-smoking and drug-free home only, please.
