Description
Hiya 👋 I'm Ellie and I'm a 32-year-old marketer.
Currently:
📖 Reading: Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion & The Story of the Lost Child by Elena Ferrante
📺 The Traitors
🏡 What I'm looking for in a home:
I moved back in with my parents a year ago after being made redundant and now that I have a job again (yay ✨) the commute is killing me (boo 🍅) and I'm ready to have my own space again. As I'm coming from home, I can be fairly flexible on move in date.
Before I moved home, I lived in London for 8 years - I actually only moved once in that time, staying 3 and 5 years in two houses in Tooting.
I love the area but I am open to discovering new spots. Ideally I want to be close to a tube station so it's easy to travel to work, and see friends and my boyfriend who are all dotted around different areas of London.
My budget is around the £1100 mark per month. For the right place I could stretch to £1250 if bills were included. I am looking for a minimally furnished room with space for a desk as I have this and some other furniture I don't want to part with in a storage unit. I'd love to share with just one or two people as I'm looking for a calm, cosy space where we might sometimes enjoy a little trash TV together or maybe we'll try our luck at a pub quiz or two every now and then.
I've had plenty of housemates over the years and maintained friendships with many of them. I am tidy and respectful. I love an occasional night out but value sleep too much to ever bring the party back home. I'm hoping to find housemates who are similar that I can get on with.
I do have a partner who may come to stay from time to time (just to split the time more fairly as at the moment it’s just me always shlepping to his every weekend!). He wouldn’t be here all time, and I’ll always give a heads up ☺️
As far as my interests go, I'm a fitness fan, I enjoy strength training, running and pilates. I love salsa dancing and am trying to go more regularly! (It's where I met my boyfriend so single ladies, I am ready to be a wingwoman haha)
I'm in a fairly irregular (both in frequency and subject matter) book club and even persuaded former flatmates to join our literary endeavour dedicated to the best Z-list celeb autobiographies. Outside of that I do enjoy reading more broadly too. I’m an occasional pub/bar/restaurant-goer but my hours are long and I am often tired from the working day, trying to make an effort to be more social though!
If you have any questions for me or think I could be a good fit for your home, drop me a message! I am also happy to buddy-up if anyone thinks I sound like their kind of flatmate!
Thanks! ✨
