Professional looking for a room around CB1/CB2 :D

Hi everyone!

My name is Irene, and I am a 25-year old PhD student. I have been living on a studio for my first year, but have found that I missed the casual interactions that come with a flatmate - so am now looking for a shared flat 😊

A bit about me:
I am someone who loves most kinds of plans. I adore cooking new recipes all the time, and am recently trying to move towards plant-based food - which has offered plenty of interesting new recipes!

I deeply enjoy learning new skills and doing stuff from scratch. If there's a hobby you are dying to try or would love to show someone else, we'll have wonderful afternoons. Some of the fun ones I have on my belt include fruit carving, woodworking (yay for the Edinburgh Tool Library), and all sorts of dancing.

As a flatmate, I am the kind that enjoys casual time together while also appreciating some alone time after a long day. Every 2-ish weeks, I sometimes have a friend or two over for dinner, and I do have a partner but they visit once every few months - all with early notice to others living with me. Happy with my flatmates hosting their own social circles, and down to help out whenever needed. I strongly believe in community-building and would love to join and be joined in volunteering activities, if that's your jam.

Cleanliness-wise, I like to be tidy, especially with my shared spaces. Having lived on my own, I'd say I have a very proactive attitude to cleaning; whenever I see something needs it, I fix it! But I'm more than happy with set routines - it's all about communicating and seeing what works for us.

I will probably be working away on the weekdays near the Royal Infarmary (⚗️), and often doing some random side-quests half of the weekend.

My budget is around £500 to 700 (without bills), but if yours is a bit above that and you feel like we would be great flatmates, please do contact me. I'm in no rush :)

Ideally, I am looking for a flat with a warm, tranquil coziness. I would adore if we have a garden, and some common space to hang out 🌱😊.
