Seeking a countryside escape!

I'm looking for a double room somewhere in and around the North West countryside to escape the bustle of the city. I'm a self employed graphic designer/animator and product photographer, and I work from home (I need space for a desk either in the room, or even better, somewhere else in the house). I'm very outdoorsy and dying to get a dog in the near future to join on outdoor adventures (so a pet-friendly place is a must!).

My current place in Manchester is actually pretty cheap so I'm looking for somewhere that makes sense for me cost-wise, around £350 inc. bills would be ideal.
