My name is Liz and I am a passionate home cook. I have been cooking for entire families and big groups of friends for many years. I recently quit my job and followed my dream to start my own online business (I sell online courses and ebooks). I don't want to put any financial pressure on my business since it's my passion and I want to build it according to my vision. Thus, I am looking to save costs and live rent-free while contributing in a different way using my second passion: vegan food & cooking!
I went fully vegan a few months ago and have been loving it so far. Over the last year, I have cooked almost daily for a family of 4 in a similar arrangement and while doing that, I have perfected the art of vegan cooking, efficient meal planning and grocery shopping as well as fridge and pantry management.
I will be your private vegan/vegetarian chef for 5 evening meals a week in exchange for a private room in or around London.
Here are the details:
**What I Offer:**
- 5 freshly made, healthy and balanced vegan meals per week for dinner (including vegetables, (vegan) protein and healthy carbs plus side salad if desired)
- Cleaning up the kitchen after cooking
- Weekly meal plan based on your individual preferences and needs
- Weekly online grocery shopping based on the meal plan
- Fridge and pantry management (keeping everything clean and organized)
- Health and nutritional information and advice
- A total of 2-3 hrs of work per
**In exchange I am looking for:**
- A private room in or around London with public transport links in walking distance
- Private/en-suite bathroom is a plus
- Desk/Workspace in the room is a plus
- A spacious kitchen I can cook in with the necessary equipment (and ideally a dishwasher!)
- All required groceries paid for by you
- A serving of every meal I cooked (I will eat before you so you can eat by yourself or I can serve the dinner for you)
- A bit of creative freedom when cooking (I am happy to follow specific recipes and instructions but I love to experiment)
- Access to the kitchen during the day so I can prepare dinner and can also make myself breakfast and lunch (on off-days as well)
- Free-time after 8:00 pm everyday. I can leave the prepared food on the stove/in the fridge for you to heat up if you want to eat later.
- 2 days off per week (can be weekdays but with at least 1 Saturday/Sunday every two weeks)
**This offer is perfect for someone who:**
- wants to eat healthy but is too busy to cook
- is a new or aspiring vegan/vegetarian who doesn't quite know yet how to cook delicious vegan/vegetarian meals yet
- has a spare guest room
**Further Notes:**
- I am happy to cater to any nutritional preferences or requirements such as paleo, keto, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free etc.
- I am okay with cooking vegetarian (include eggs and dairy) and I don't mind cooking meat/fish 1-2 a week. I have cooked with meat for many years but since I am vegan now myself I prefer someone who wants to eat mostly vegan meals.
- If required, I can provide a light and simple breakfast, lunch and snack as well for an additional charge (to be negotiated). Examples: fresh fruit & vegetable juices, fruit-based or protein smoothie bowls, porridge, sandwiches, salads. I can also cook double the amount for dinner and you can have the leftovers the next day for lunch at no additional charge.
- Due to covid and because I can't drive in the UK (it's on the wrong side for me!!), I will only do grocery shopping online or if shops are in walking distance/easily reachable with public transport. But I have become a master of online grocery shopping so you won't even notice!
- While I am a passionate home-cook and have a wealth of health and nutrition knowledge I am not a qualified nutritionist or trained chef.
- I am happy to arrange leftovers or healthy frozen meals for my days off.

- Fresh juices with carrot, kale, beetroot, ginger, apple, lemon or cucumber, celery, kale, apple and lemon
- Smoothie bowls like vegan peanut butter protein smoothie bowl or strawberry-mango-smoothie bowl topped with chia seeds, cacao nibs, goji berries etc.
- Delicious vegan bagels with avocado, dried tomato, red pepper hummus, vegan cheese and chili sauce
- Delicious vegan salads with home-made dressings such as sweet-and-sour chili dressing, honey-mustard dressing, tahini-maple dressing, creamy ranch dressing, italian basil dressing, etc.
- Green/Yellow Thai Curry with Rice Noodles
- Indian Lentil Dhal with Basmati Rice
- Pasta with home-made pesto
- Creamy Mushroom-Spinach Gnocchi Bake
- Miso Aubergines on Sticky Rice with Soy-Glazed Bok Choy
- Loaded Taco Potatoes with Spicy Beans and Garlic-Yoghurt Sauce
- Beyond Meat Burgers with home-made cheese sauce and home-made barbecue sauce
- Various Vegan Soups and Stews
