Postgrad student looking for accommodation.

I’m Niall, a 27-year-old post-grad student living in Edinburgh and studying at the University of Edinburgh, I’m from Cumbria, just south of the Scottish border and when I'm home I live with my whippet, Keith. I completed my under-grad in adult nursing, and I am now studying master’s in social work. I am looking to move accommodation early in January 2026, although I am happy to commit to an early date if that works.
My budget is around £850 including all bills. Ideally, I would like to be in the Waverly Court area.
I have lived with mates in the past and I’ve lived with completely new people too. I have also lived in houses with just females when I was a nurse and I’ve lived with males only too, as well as mixed houses. Having lived with lots of different folk I don’t have any preferences with who I live with.
I’m laid back and enjoy socialising with house mates, if that’s just staying in the house or flat or going out to the pub for a few pints on the weekend. As sociable as I am, I understand people want their own space too. I follow a bit of football and boxing (I definitely don’t go to the gym) and watch the odd film or TV show, I read a bit too. I’m a terrible cook so my meals are basic so I’m great at washing up, I’m clean and tidy. Limited DIY skills but if a light bulb needs to be put in, I can manage that.
