I'm Muhammad, a 36-year-old male visiting researcher at the University of Birmingham (6+ months stay). I'm married, and my wife will join me once we find a suitable longer-term place — so we're ideally looking for a spacious double room in a professional house/flat share, or a studio/1-bedroom flat for the two of us.
We're a quiet, respectful couple (both professionals/academics, non-smokers, no pets). We value a clean and tidy home — I especially love keeping the kitchen spotless! We're easy-going, sociable occasionally but mostly keep to ourselves, and we're looking for calm, mature housemates (professionals or similar, any gender, ideally 30+).

Clean, modern, and well-maintained property
Quiet/residential area — preferably Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley, Kings Heath, Bearwood, or similar professional neighbourhoods (avoiding heavy student areas for a more peaceful vibe)
Good transport links to the University of Birmingham (we're happy with bus/train/cycle)

Budget: £800–£1,200 pcm total (flexible for the right place). Available to move now or soon — short-term initially is fine while we settle.
