Seeking Peaceful Nest

Hello there,

The house I am currently in is sold, so I am looking for either a place in an existing home, or am interested in buddying up as I've found some gorgeous places but would prefer to not live on my own. I am flexible for a move-in date but need to secure something ASAP in June. I prefer to stay around Hebden Bridge or Todmorden, but I am open for the right fit.

I am a professional and work from home, so I do need quiet during the day and have a housemate who is respectful in the evenings, notably during the week. I'd prefer to live with a housemate who is also professional, however I am open - as long as you’re financially responsible, hygienic, nice, respectful, honest, and have communication skills.

I am American, but have been living mostly in Europe since 2013 and the UK full-time since 2017. I am tidy, flexible, honest, respectful, and caring. I am the youngest of 5 kids and thus can get on with most personalities.

During the week, expect me to be working from home mostly, and to treat home as a place of peace and relaxation. I respect whatever my flatmate wishes to do, as long as there aren't regular nighttime disruptions during the week or that I have some notice.

I enjoy having a glass of wine, humour, science, art, pilates, playing chess, going in the hills, seeing live music, socialising, and cooking. I would like a flatmate that I can socialise with sometimes, however I respect and value independence etc. If we become proper friends - that’s great, but if not, that’s fine, too! - As long as we are friendly and communicate.

If you have pets, I will be more than happy to provide them with care and love as I can! The current big dog I live with would support this statement.

I’ve had successful roommates with males and females across continents and age groups, and would be happy to provide references. I am very adaptable and reasonable.
