Description

Hi everyone 🙂

My partner Jamie and I have just moved to the UK from New Zealand and after travelling around Europe for three months we are now on the hunt for a double room in London from September.

About us 👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻: Jamie (25M) is a mechanical design engineer by trade and will have normal office hours, though some of these may be at home hours. He is a big arsenal/football fan and will take any chance he can to get to a game while we live in London! On top of football he loves almost any of the other traditional sports and will most likely join a sports team or two each season. He’s super easy going and gets on with almost everyone and anyone, especially if they have an appreciation for D&B music.

I (24F) am a therapeutic radiographer and will be working in a central London hospital with reasonably normal hours (no late nights). I do prefer a quieter lifestyle to Jamie but this doesn’t stop me from enjoying myself! I enjoy reading, walking/hiking, being outside and adore cooking/baking. I am also hoping to make the most of the UKs proximity to Europe and get in as much travel as I can while we are here.

The house 🏡: Our ideal house share would be located reasonably central or in a nice leafy, safe district in zone 2. It should be close to public transport options as both Jamie and I will likely have to utilise these frequently. Our requirement for the house is for it to have a communal living room so that we can socialise with our flat family and bonus points if it has a garden to relax in on a sunny day!

The room🏠: We would love a spacious double in a social flat share that is more homely than anything else. An ensuite would be a bonus, but not needed at all! Furnished is preferred, but also not necessary.

The Flatmates 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: we would like to be in a flat of working professionals who enjoy socialising with each other, but respect each other’s space at the same time. They should be house proud and like a tidy home, speaking only of communal areas. Ideally we would enjoy sharing the cooking within a flat, but this isn’t a deal breaker as often schedules won’t allow for this! We’d love to have the occasional dinner party, games night, pub quiz, movie night or night out on the town with our new housemates and our ideal flat family would also be keen for trips away together (day or longer) because who doesn’t want to escape London for the sun (or snow!) in winter!

Budget 💷: our budget is flexible but ideally we would like to max out at 1000£ pcm, with all/most bills included ideally.

Thanks so much for reading this far and if you have anything that ticks the boxes we would appreciate you getting in touch!
