Looking for community

Hiya! I’m looking for a friendly shared house with a genuine sense of communal life.

I’ve been living on my own for the past year or so, and I’ve realised I really miss living with other people. I love having someone to chat to after work, watching a film together, sharing a meal or occasionally organising things as a house. I definitely don’t expect us to do everything together though! I’m very independent, quite busy, and have a good circle of friends in Bristol, where I’ve lived for around 10 years.

Ideally, I’d love somewhere with a garden and a nice, spacious communal area where people actually enjoy spending time.

I’m French and also speak Spanish, so I love international and intercultural households. I’m equally happy living with people younger or older than me. What matters much more is that our lifestyles are compatible and that we have a similar approach to sharing and looking after a home.

I founded and run my own French school in Bristol, and I do quite a bit of work from home, mainly admin and some online teaching. I wouldn’t have students coming to the house.

Outside work, I’m very sociable and love live music. I sing and play guitar with Dovetail Orchestra which is a beautiful, inclusive community music project. I’m also a keen dancer (ecstatic dance, ceilidhs, salsa, ...), and I love world music.

I’m also into crafts, reading and gardening. I really care about the place I live in and like keeping shared spaces clean, welcoming and well looked after.
