PhD student looking for a flat in Sheffield

I am moving to Sheffield in August to start a PhD in plant biology so looking for a double room or (ideally fellow queer) people to buddy up with.

I will be working in the lab in the main Uni of Sheffield campus so would ideally like somewhere walking/cycling distance from the Uni with good links to the station. I have some furniture which I'd ideally like to bring with me so and unfurnished room is fine.

I’m looking for friendly and sociable people to live with. It would be great to live in a queer friendly flat or house. Id love to have people to make friends with rather than just existing in the same space. My partner lives in Brighton so will come and visit every now and then as well but definitely will not be moving in, and will spend some weekends in Brighton.

I’m friendly, relaxed and fairly sociable to live with while respecting privacy and the need for space and quiet time. Not looking for a party house, more people to enjoy meals together with sort of vibe. I’m clean, a good cook who loves sharing meals, and a good houseplant dad.

I enjoy nature and spending time outdoors, games (both video games and TTRPGs) film and tv, reading, cooking and baking, swimming, running and yoga.
