Professional (35yo), SE London, s/term let

Hello,

I am selling my lovely 4-bed home in Brighton this September and want to try out living in London again (I lived in Telegraph Hill for 6+ years previously). I will be house-hunting and looking to buy again early in 2026 - either in London or Hove.

I am an academic, working at the University of Sussex, so I will be commuting to Brighton around 3 days per week. If I don't have to be in the office, I might like to work from home 1-2 days per week, but happy to discuss if this might be an issue.

I have been a homeowner for 5 years so will be completely respectful of your space. I keep my own home very tidy, so need to live with someone who also prefers to keep things very clean.

In the week, I spend my evenings going for runs, listening to music, walking my dog and having dinner with friends. I still have friends who live in London and at the weekends I would like to make the most of being in city - museums, dinner, theatre, bars. But I'm not a huge party animal!

It would be great to have a housemate who might also want to hang out occasionally and do fun things - if we have shared interests.

I have a lovely dog, Whistler (male, 5 years) who's a white, fluffy Coton de Tulear. He's very chilled and completely house trained. Whilst I would love to have him with me in London, this might be logistically quite tricky whilst I sublet. I can, if needed, send him to my parents. BUT if you're a dog lover (and might want to try before you get your own) please let me know. He's adorable (I can send pics).
