"Hi, I’m Margaret, a single professional currently undergoing the assessment process to become an Approved Foster Carer. I am looking for a long-term family home in the Croydon area (3, 4, or 5 bedrooms) to begin my dedicated work with children in care.
​Because I am in the final stages of the fostering assessment, I have already been through rigorous vetting, including enhanced DBS checks and initial home safety reviews. I am a non-smoker, very house-proud, and looking for a landlord who values a reliable, long-term tenant who will treat the property with care."
​What I am Looking For:
​Space: 3, 4, or 5 bedrooms to accommodate children of different ages.
​Outdoor Space: Ideally a secure garden or proximity to a local park.
​Safety & Standards: A property that meets (or is ready for) standard rental safety certificates (Gas, Electric, EPC), as these are required for my fostering home assessment.
​Location: Croydon or surrounding areas, preferably with good access to local schools and public transport.

​Stable Income & Support: My transition into fostering is supported by a fostering agency, and my income is structured to cover the costs of a larger family home.
​Exempt from Benefit Cap: Once active, my status as a foster carer means I am exempt from the DWP benefit cap.
