Looking to share house in York, prefer double room

Hi there!

My name’s Sam and I’m 25.

I currently work full-time with the York Museums Trust as part of their VE team and work across all three sites. I work Tuesday – Wednesday and Friday – Sunday, so I have my days off on Monday and Thursday. I have been living in York for over a year now and have been sharing houses since I started living here.

I’m fairly chilled and laid back and enjoy socialising with others from time to time. I’m not really a party person though so I’d prefer to share a quiet place with others who are respectful of others and are not loud and rowdy, especially at night time as I do find noisiness quite overwhelming and overstimulating.

I am a very clean person and am always cleaning up after myself. I do come from a family of seven so I’m quite used to teamwork by now! Naturally, I’d expect others to do the same as well just to keep things harmonious between everyone. I don’t drink alcohol or smoke either.

That being said, I do have ADHD so I can struggle with organising myself at times and forget things I have left unfinished. If I do, you may have to be patient with me – it’s not because I don’t care, just that I can get distracted and forget things easily, but I will certainly try my best!

Ideally, I would prefer somewhere that is within walking distance of the city centre, so it shouldn’t take any longer than 15/20 minutes to walk into town. I also prefer somewhere close to an Aldi or Lidl if possible as I don’t drive, so I don’t want to have to trail far to get groceries.

I would also prefer, if possible, a double bedroom with plenty of space as I do have quite a few books and films that I need storage for, and I was also thinking of using my room as office space as well.

But otherwise, I enjoy cooking, baking, playing games, reading, binge watching films and researching history. I also love York and have been coming here a lot over the last few years now, so if anyone was up for going somewhere, I’d be up for that, I do love exploring new places!
