Description
Hi everyone! I’m Melis, 32, and I work freelance as a writer and editor for architecture and culture magazines. Our landowner is selling the house, so I’m looking to move in to a new place early February.
I'd love to buddy up with a likeminded person and consider a 2-bed (or potentially 3- or 4-bed depending on how stars and opportunities align). I'm somewhat flexible with areas for the right place but East and North London is my preference after six years of living in Hackney, Lower Clapton, etc.
I'd describe myself as an easygoing, friendly, and considerate person to live with. I like to make the space we live in with both comfortable and cozy for ourselves and welcoming for friends we might occasionally be hosting (I used to be an interior designer so I love spending time thinking about furniture and decoration and lighting!). While valuing my privacy, I'd also love a housemate whom I feel like I can talk to, have a chat over morning coffees or wine or maybe even go out to the pub or gigs.
Outside of the house: I hang out with friends (dining, going out dancing/to listen to good music), I play volleyball so I'm at the gym or training/at games with my club often, and engage in "culture" (exhibitions, cinema, music).
As I’m self-employed, I mostly work from home, so having a room or an area that could serve as a study space or desk setup would be wonderful. I’d also love to have an ensuite but can be flexible for the right place!
if you think we might be a good match, please reach out—whether if you have a room available or would be interested in finding a place together.
Warmly,
Melis x
