Looking for a room to rent

Hello,

My name is Machiko, and I'm a 35-year-old woman originally from Japan. I've had the opportunity to work in Japan, Singapore, and the UK. I completed my master’s degree at the University of Edinburgh and continued working there before recently moving to London for a new role in event/project management.

I'm currently looking for a quiet and safe place to live. My office is in Angel, so ideally I’m looking for somewhere with an easy commute by bus or tube. I start my new job on 1 May and will be staying temporarily with a friend, but I'm hoping to move into a new place by mid-May. Ideally, I'd like to live in a flat with no more than 3 people in total, including myself, but I'm open to other arrangements.

A little bit about me:
- I'm a non-smoker.
- I'm very clean and tidy – you can count on that! (as you might expect from someone Japanese haha)
- I'm respectful of personal space but also enjoy a friendly chat. I'm definitely NOT a party person.
- I love travelling, visiting museums and heritages, watching films (especially musicals, fantasy, and sci-fi), and going to Ceilidhs (Scottish dance gatherings - I'm hoping to find some in London too!)
- I enjoy a glass of wine or a pint now and then.
- I'll be commuting to the office 5 days a week until July (during my probation period), and then I'll be working from home 2 days a week.
