Room/Buddy up

I'm working at the University as a PhD student and teaching assistant, studying plant biology and acoustics.

My family lives on a farm between Andover and Stockbridge and I live there at the moment. I like spending my time there, there’s a lot of work to do, animals to look after and fun to be had, but the commute is draining when work gets busy in Southampton, especially as my partner lives in Southampton and so I often spend evenings there.

For all those reasons, I am looking for somewhere that is calm and quiet to sleep where I can feel like I’m at home, without quite such a large number of distractions and demands! I would consider Monday-Friday lets and also short-term sublets. Since I’m not in a hurry, I’m willing to wait for the right household/people/price! :) I will be away for the beginning of January and dogsitting for the last 3 weeks, so February would probably be my preferred move in date!

Beyond that, I can be quite chatty, enjoy all sorts of card games, and like living with other people. I knit when I have time, repair things, and my life’s dream at the moment is to move to Scotland/Scandinavia/Canada (Anywhere colder) after finishing with Southampton!

I’m not liable for council tax due to being classed as a student, despite having something that looks suspiciously like a salary, so if living with 1 other person, a single occupancy discount applies.
