Professional Female Seeking Room / New Flat Buddy

Hi, I’m Emily!

I’m looking for either a room in a flat or someone to team up with for a new 2-bedroom lease.

I currently rent a flat in Gorgie on my own, but with costs being what they are, I’m hoping to move back into a flat share. I’d just need a little flexibility with the move-in date to allow for my 28-day notice period.

Preferred areas: Gorgie, Dalry, Polwarth, Haymarket or nearby (Not Leith as used to live there and commuting across town takes too long, moved to this side of the city for that reason).
Max rent: £650 + bills (any higher and I may as well stay put!).

I work as a researcher in Edinburgh — usually one day a week in the office and four days from home.

I’m friendly, easy-going, tidy, and generally quite busy. I’m often out at the gym after work or involved with a local theatre group. At home I like cooking healthy meals, reading, and getting out for walks when I can.

I don’t mind pets at all, as long as the flat stays clean and I’m not responsible for them. And fair warning: I’ve been known to sing in the shower and kitchen.

I’m hoping to find someone who values a relaxed, respectful home — friendly but independent, and happy to give each other space when needed.

I may be starting a PhD in the new year (still to be confirmed). If that happens, I’ll still contribute to council tax, so your share wouldn’t change.
