Description
Hey, I’m Poppy. I’m 23 and work in fintech around St Paul’s.
About me:
I did my first degree at Bristol and developed a love for music. I play piano (with headphones), and in the event I’m going out it usually involves either live music or a comedy night. I don’t drink but it doesn't stop me from enjoying a pub catch up over a (non-alc) pint. If I go away, I’m usually visiting my family in Italy or seeing old friends dotted around the UK.
As a housemate:
I am notoriously clean, liking to keep my space feeling fresh throughout the week and sticking some tunes on on a Saturday to start the weekend with a good scrub of the place. It would definitely be a bonus to find people who have a similar attitude to keep a clean place!
My average week:
I generally work from home on Thursdays only. On Monday - Wednesday evenings I’m out after work playing netball (join my team) or squash. I leave the house early and shower at the office, so hopefully I won’t impede anyone’s morning shower schedules :)
Other days I get back from the office around 19:00, cook, and love to have a catch up about our days around the dinner table. I enjoy cooking and would love to be able to share meals with my flatmates sometimes!
On the weekend I might go to the library to work on my non-work related projects, plan an activity, or sometimes invite a friend round for dinner. I would love a nice local pub nearby for a pint too.
My housemate preferences:
I’d love to find flatmates who I could actually be friends with. I like to chat and catch up a little at the end of the day and maybe plan some dinners or drinks together too. I would ideally like to move in with an existing group, but I would also be happy to buddy up.
My flat preferences:
I’m not looking for a sparkly new build, but rather something which can be made a home. I don’t need a big room as I don’t have a lot of things.
My location preferences:
I like to cycle to work so I’m looking for a flat >5 miles from my office at St Paul’s. Incase I go out for an evening, I’d ideally like to be a safe-feeling-walk from a night bus or tube.
I have in mind that I like areas like Hackney, Dalston, Victoria Park, but the main draw would be an area with a nice high street with some cafes or pubs and that feels safe. I’d rather not be on a main road.
