Description
So, I'm Connor.
I'll start by saying that I'm keen to stay as close to Spitalfields as possible. I start work very early in the morning, and it's been really great to live within walking distance. For the right deal, I'd be willing to move out as far as Islington, Dalston, Shadwell, or Bethnal Green if bicycle storage is available.
I moved to London a bit over a year ago in pursuit of my dream chef career. I basically dropped out of uni a while back and had to decide what to do with myself. I figured I'm good at cooking so why not make a proper go of it, and here I am in London.
I've been living between Spitalfields and Brick Lane for most of my time in London, and on top of working nearby I've completely fallen in love with the area. So with my tenancy being up in November I'd give my left arm to stay nearby.
In terms of my working hours, I'm fortunate enough to work for a restaurant that has me on single shifts, so I'm home in the evenings and can keep up on the house chores fairly easily.
I've not yet fallen out of love with cooking in my off time despite various assurances that chefs live on takeaway and frozen pizza, so house meals are something I love to do. As are nights out at local bars and restaurants. I like a good pub quiz or karaoke bar as much as I like a movie night. I'm also accepting of and happy to be friends with pretty much anyone, as much as that shouldn't need to be said
Obviously you can't be too picky with renting in London. Just getting a place within walking distance from my restaurant would be a dream, but a place with some character would be wonderful. I've got a bit of a soft spot for warehouse conversions, and I love old buildings. Nice, comfortable communal space is a big plus, as is a kitchen with more space than your average wardrobe.
Open to chipping in for a cleaner, shared amenities and so on. No allergies to speak of, and I love animals so I'm completely fine with any pets you may have.
I'm looking to move in the next month or so, end of November at the latest, but most likely sometime after the 15th. My budget is about 850PCM, accounting for bills, but there's some wiggle room there for the right place.
