Canadian seeking short-term sublet for 1-3 months

Hey everyone!

I’m originally from Montreal, Canada but have been living in London since last September. Looking for a place to start as soon as possible, ideally for a short-term sublet of 1-3 months.

What I'm looking for: a clean, well-lit room in a houseshare located within a 45-minute-ish commute of London Bridge or Charing Cross. I'd love to find housemates who are somewhat social (i. e., up for chatting or having a glass of wine once in a while) but respectful of personal space.

About me: I’m clean, quiet (i. e., often out of the house working or exploring), and respectful. When I have the time, I enjoy cooking (I bake a mean quiche) and having the occasional (ahem) glass of wine to unwind. I'm also into long-distance walking (I hiked 300km along the Camino Portugués last year!), coffee, languages (I speak French and Spanish and am always looking to practice…), and reading. I also love cats, but I'm sure I'll find a way to cope even if your house is cat-free.

About my life: I originally did my undergrad in math and physics in Montreal, and then went on to do an MSc in particle physics. However, since graduating about ten years ago, I’ve spent a big chunk of my time working as a touring musician in Canada and the US. (Weird career change, I know... If you feel like it, check me out on Spotify!) At the same time, I’ve kept a day job as a crash-course instructor and tutor for math and physics undergrads.

Since the pandemic, I've been looking to reorient my career a little... so I applied to return to school at this ripe old age. I got accepted to do a one-year postgrad degree at the London School of Economics, which is why I've been living in the UK. So far, I've loved being in London.

If you think this might be a good fit, I'd be happy to chat or come for a viewing. I'm ideally hoping to sort this out by the end of this week, even if the move-in date is slightly later. Finally... I realize people are more risk-averse when it comes to leasing to a noncitizen, so I’d be more than happy to transfer the whole 1-3 months' rent up front if you're more comfortable with that.
