I’m Jana-Aimée (28) - originally from Austria, but I’ve been living in the UK for five years now. For the past year and a half, I’ve been in West London and honestly really loved the slower pace, the green corners, and the weekend markets. It’s been a nice little pocket of calm in a busy city.

I studied product and furniture design, and I now work as a freelance designer - I’m slowly crossing into the film world too, which has been super exciting. Most days I work from a client’s studio or office, but now and then I’ll have a quiet work-from-home day.

I’d say I’m quite a social person - I love sharing tea and little snacks, chatting about everything and nothing, or heading out to explore a new food spot. But I also really value alone time and having a peaceful space to come back to. I think it’s important to be mindful of both - connection and quiet.

Home is a big one for me. I’m someone who recharges by being in a space that feels soft, clean, and inspiring. I’d really love to live somewhere that feels like a proper home - with flatmates I can occasionally cook or hang out with, but where everyone also respects each other’s space and downtime.

I’m looking to move quite soon, as my current landlord keeps raising the rent while the flat itself is slowly falling apart… so I’m hoping to find somewhere I can feel proud of, safe in, and a little more grounded.

Just to mention - I don’t have a UK guarantor, but I can share proof of income and would be happy to pay rent in advance if needed. A couple of times a year, a friend or two from Austria might visit - always very low-key and just me hosting in my room.
