Looking for 1 Bedroom or Studio in North London

Posting on behalf of my boyfriend Steph — he’s a friendly, respectful software engineer (half American, half German) looking for a room to rent or sublet in the Islington/Angel area starting early July, ideally until the end of the year.

He’s hoping to find a month-to-month or flexible rental, ideally in a social but respectful flatshare, or a self-contained space if available.

Budget: £1700/month (flexible for the right fit)
Preferred areas: Islington, Angel, Canonbury, or nearby — close to N7 would be perfect
Move-in: Early July
Length of stay: Minimum 6 months, ideally through December

A bit about Steph:
Works full-time as a software engineer (fully remote). He loves reading, drawing, and spending time outdoors. He is respectful of personal space but loves meeting new people and having a friendly home vibe. He is tidy, easygoing, and used to shared living.
